The exquisite portrait of the emperor, discovered and preserved in the NAR Deultum, has received a new digital reconstruction. For this purpose, innovative technology and methodology developed by the ERC project RESP at the University of Verona, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dario Calomino, was used.
The portrait was reconstructed as a result of a fruitful partnership between the fundamental research project DigiDeultum at NAIM-BAS, funded by the National Science Fund (FNI), with scientific director Prof. Dr. Lyudmil Vagalinski, the OIM-Sredets, directed by Krasimira Kostova, and the RESP team.
